Chamaerops humilis = europäische Zwergpalme; Eine in vielen verschiedenen Formen   (Variätäten ) vorkommende und auch meines Erachtens schöne Fächerpalme. Sie stammt aus dem Mittelmeergebiet. Eine ideale Kübel-Pflanze für jeden Hobbybotaniker.

 Sehr pflegeleicht; liebt lehmhaltigen schweren Boden. Kann lange in ein und demselben Topf bleiben. Was ihr nicht so behagt ist die nass-kalte Jahrezeit. Hier droht "Herzfeule " . Trockene Kälte bis -10 o C kein Problem. Die Chamaerops humilis blüht schon bei einer Größe von ca. 40 cm , vorausgesetzt Substrat und Dünger stimmen.
